So I woke up yesterday after having a very real dream that Ryan and Reese and I were truly bff. Like really bff. I was riding around in a black Tahoe with them and the kids, we may or may not have gone to church (because, if they say "let's go to church," I'm going to go to church), Ryan was walking around my place looking at pictures, Reese was looking over the front seat of the car chatting with me. It was very weird. But very real. Maybe one of the more vivid dreams I've had as of late.
Then, LBB starts a Ryan/Reese conversation today without knowing about my dream, so I tell her about it (because it is obvi fascinating).
Then this afternoon, I get an email from a friend that recounts a Washington Post snippet from today:
HEY, ISN'T THAT . . . ?Um, they are in town! And, in fact, Ryan is filming less than three miles from my house! Maybe I'll see them out and about this weekend (though, my Big City Friend is in town this weekend and told me she will not allow me to stalk celebrities. Whatever.). Maybe I'll see them at breakfast at the Vienna Inn on Sunday. Or at the mall. Or Giant. Maybe I'll see them walking out of Starbucks and going to the library. We'll instantly become bff, and I'll go see them when I'm in L.A. next month. I'll let you know how it goes.
· Reese Witherspoon , exiting a Burger King Tuesday near the White House with a bag of carryout, while husband Ryan Phillippe films the Robert Hanssen FBI spy drama "Breach" over in Vienna. Oversize sunglasses, nice scarf, hat, and "very, very, very cute," according to the guy who held the door for her and pegged her as the Oscar nominee in an instant -- that smile, that chin. Does Burger King do salads these days?
(This just in, from my friend (the mother of the fashionable one year old) upon hearing the news: "thank you so much for the news. am about to call a babysitter and just drive around town looking for them." Amen. This is the same friend who stood with me for hours as we watched them film an episode of Dawson's Creek at our school. No, Pacey was not there.)

bonified celebrity sighting... McLean never saw such a thing when I was around -- clearly I should've moved to Vienna.
