Google Talk is an asshole.

Yeah, so what. I'm picky. I admitted it yesterday. And, based on the (two) comments to that post, many of us are...we'd rather be "picky" and discriminatory (in a good way) than settle. Our "dealbreakers" are really things that turn us off--ie, that don't attract us to a potential love match. And that's fine, because attraction is key to a relationship. Right?

But does Google Talk really need to remind me that I'm available? Right under my name, on the buddy list, it always says "Available" (unless, of course, I put up a stupid message). Why must he (because it's obviously a he) mock me so? I wish I could make it say "picky." Have a friend who works at Google. I'll see what I can do.
